Road and bridge waterproof coating

This product is a polymer-modified asphalt waterproof coating formulated with high-quality petroleum asphalt as the base material  and a variety of polymer modified materials. After curing, it forms a cross-linked polymer coating film with excellent performance,  and water is used as the medium. It can withstand the structural deformation requirements under dynamic loads, with liquid cold  construction, seamless waterproof layer, and is suitable for waterproofing projects such as roads and bridges.


Application scenarios


It is suitable for waterproofing construction on the surface of roads and Bridges with cement concrete as the surface layer, and can  also be used for waterproofing and anti-seepage, anti-corrosion, wall waterproofing and moisture-proofing and other projects such as tunnels and cave bodies.


Product Classification


Road and bridge waterproof coatings are classified into :PB-I type and PB-II type.


Method of application


1. Preparations before construction: Before use, it must be thoroughly mixed. Roughening treatment should be completed before the  final setting of the bridge deck concrete. The strength must meet the requirements. Only when the concrete strength is ≥70% can the  waterproof layer construction be carried out. 

2. Construction environment requirements: For the PB-I type, it is necessary to ensure that there is no rain, snow or freezing weather  during and for more than three consecutive days after construction. The PB-II type must ensure that there is no rain or snow during the  construction period and within 4 hours after the construction. The construction temperature should be controlled between 5℃ and 35℃ (the requirements for PB-II type can be slightly wider). 

3. Construction process (layer-based spraying): It is strongly recommended to use high-pressure airless spraying equipment for  mechanical spraying to ensure uniform coating. Spray 2-3 times in total, with an interval of 2-3 hours between each application.  Immediately after spraying the second coat of paint, evenly sprinkle short fibers in its moist state. After the spreading is completed,  immediately spray the third coat of paint to completely cover the fibers. 

4. Construction Precautions: During the construction process, it is strictly prohibited to step on the wet waterproof layer. Sharp objects  should be prevented from scratching the waterproof layer during the construction and subsequent procedures. After the construction is  completed, a protective layer can be considered to be set up to prevent ultraviolet aging and physical damage.
